Ornamental Plants Beautify Central Jakarta Ahead of Indonesia Independence Day

The Central Jakarta Parks and City Forests (Tamhut) Sub-agency has started to decorate the area with ornamental plants ahead of Indonesia Indepedence Day's 78th Anniversary and ASEAN Summit.

Parks and City Forests Division Head, Amri Muhammad expressed the beautification activities this time were centered on the Arjuna Wijaya Statue (Horse Statue), Bank Indonesia Fountain and courtyard of Central Jakarta Mayor's Office.
The types of ornamental plants planted in this beautification range from red-white kastuba, siverdust merah, cabbage palm, kadaka, hanjungan merah, rumput gajah mini, palm cameroeia, pandan bali, red-white krisna, anthurium merah, and thypa.

His party also put up banners that read Indonesian Independence Day and the ASEAN Summit in eight sub-districts.
"We have attached them in 23 points spread across eight districts with a total of 141 poles," he explained.
